Colin FitzPatrick is a Chartered Accountant who, having trained with PW, was for 10 years a Partner in Grant Thornton where he was on the National Legal Business Panel and Business Valuation Panel. Colin is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has extensive Forensic Accounting experience, acting as an Expert Witness on many occasions.
Since1998 Colin has been a Partner in FitzPatrickRoyle, through which he services Legal Business clients and undertakes Legal Business consultancy assignments, mainly covering Partnership structures, Mergers and Dissolutions. He also acted as a Consultant to Baker Tilly until 2008. In 2007 Colin undertook a Mergers pilot project for the Lord Chancellor’s Department pursuant to the Carter Report. He has also lectured for the Law Society and other organisations on various Legal Business matters and wrote 3 chapters in the Law Management Section’s Mergers Toolkit published in late 2007.
